This 3-day hands on course is ideal for crime scene investigators, laboratory personnel, traffic investigators, patrol officers or anyone else who is tasked with taking photos. Students will become proficient in the use of a DSLR or mirrorless camera and will learn the proper techniques for documenting a crime scene, traffic collision and photographing evidence.

Required Equipment:

  • Digital camera w/ removable lens
  • 35-50 mm lens or similar zoom lens
  • Off-camera flash
  • Remote clash cord to connect flash to camera
  • Extra batteries & charger for camera and flash
  • Flashlight
  • Tripod
  • Memory cards (minimum 2) for the camera
  • Laptop computer (optional)
